This is an issue in our societies because there is no democracy here, the most powerful lobby directs our governments not the rule of law. Be that lobby a wealthy individual, private interest group or a wealthy church they prevail by manipulating current governments thereby circumventing individual rights and the will of the voting populace. Solutions are plenty but what are we thinking when we call this a democracy?
